Christmas Dinner in the
Ard Manning, Cork.
15th December 2006
Our guest of honour at our Christmas Dinner was Cllr Catherine Clancy, Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork
Mayor Clancy was a very welcomed guest and socialised with the Legion gathering. She did the Office of Lord Mayor very proud in her representation. The Mayor addressed the Legion and spoke about the Defence Forces contribution to Ireland and as ambassadors while on UN Duties. The Mayor told a story of her experience as a young girl and her association with a neighbour who had just returned from The Congo. The Mayor spoke about her enjoyment of the night and was even lucky enough to win one of the many spot prizes on offer that night.
Lady Mayor, Many thanks from The Irish Legion for your gracious attendence at our Christmas Function. You certainly complimented the night. The Irish Legion wishes you a happy Christmas and also wishes you well in your Office. Thank you Mam.
